Predictions for UFC Fight Night 37: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa
The O2 Arena, London, England - Sat 08 March 2014
UFC Fight Night London will be the first event here in the UK this year and the card itself is brilliant even after many of the original fighters have had to pull out. Headlining this card will be Alexander Gustafsson and Brit favourite Jimi Manuwa who is still unbeaten in his albeit short but exceptional UFC career. If Gustaffson wins it puts him right back in the frame for a re-match with current UFC Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and if Manuwa wins it will propel him straight into the top 10 in the rankings. The co main event was supposed to be a re-match between Ross Pearson and Melvin Guillard however a knee injury to Pearson meant UFC had to find a suitable replacement and in Michael Johnson they found exactly that. The other two fights on the main card include a fly weight bout between another Brit favourite Brad Pickett and newcomer Irish Neil Seery (replacement for 'Uncle Creepy' Ian McCall) plus a welterweight bout between the Icelandic Gunnar Nelson and the Dagestani born Omari Akhmedov. Headlining the prelims at the O2 Arena is French kickboxer Cyrille Diabate vs Ilir Latifi. The rest of the prelims are as follows... Luke Barnatt vs Mats Nilsson, Brad Scott vs Claudio Henrique da Silva, Davey Grant vs Roland Delorme, Igor Araujo vs Danny Mitchell and finally Phil Harris vs Louis Gaudinot. Below are our predictions for UFC Fight Night London. The British fans are in for a real treat.
